Module 3 - Hearing Aids: The Basics
Module 3 provides information on hearing aids, their use, and maintenance tips.
In Module 3, you will:
- learn about hearing aid features/options and types recommended for young children,
- learn how to do a listening check and care for the hearing aid as well as recognize a child's auditory awareness of sound, and
- develop an understanding of how to encourage a child's hearing aid use and acceptance (which is critical when establishing avenues for language learning in children who are deaf or hard of hearing).
